Sgt Paul Sablitz graduated from the Bacon Academy in 1942 and worked on his father's farm.

He enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 4 March 1944.

His parents were Polish immigrants and his oldest brother and sister were born in Poland.

The aircraft collided in mid-air with another B-24 #42-95164. Both aircraft went down. Four parachutes were seen. The entire crew of ten was killed.
