Capt Jerald M. Davies graduated from The Dalles High School in 1936 and graduated from Oregon Sate College in 1940.

He graduated with a reserve commission from the R.O.T.C. He entered service with the army engineers and was sent to Fort Richardson, Alaska. He was stationed there in March 1942. In March 1943 he was transferred to the air corps and received his wings in January, 1944 at Stockton, California. He was sent overseas in September, 1944.

This B-26 crashed into a mountain while en route from Florennes, Belgium to its new base in Schleissheim killing all 10 men on board. On board were four crew and six passengers.
