Pfc Aloysius Gonsowski Jr. was a crossing watchmen and bridge tender before he enlisted at fort Niagara, Youngstown, New York on 13 March 1942. He enlisted.His remains where discovered in 1977. After his identification he was buried at the American Cemetery Ardennes in Belgium, because this was the only American Cemetery available at that time.
He is also memorialized on the Walls of the Missing at the Netherlands American Cemetery Margraten.
