Pvt Renda graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in 1939 and was employed by the Westinghouse Electric Corp. in East Pittsburgh.

He enlisted in 1942 and was sent overseas in March 1944.

The remains of George Renda were recovered in February 1977, along with those of Pfc Aloysius Gonsowski near Kamphoefweg 6, Overloon.

Pfc Renda's remains have been interred at a private cemetery in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
