1st Lt Edward Bills attended high school for 4 years and was a manager in a laundry.He enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 12 March 1942. He received his commision at Fort Knox, Kentucky in January 1943.
At the time of his death, his brother Edgar served with the Army Air Force in France.
