Sgt Leonard N. Faner worked in a chemical plant.He enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 5 January 1943.
The aircraft was attacked by enemy fighters and exploded in the air. The entire crew of ten was killed and was initially buried at the community cemetery of Lemgo on 13 January 1944.
