S/Sgt Edward E. Wodeshick graduated from Ward P. Davenport High School in 1941 and was a chauffeur employed by the Coca Cola Company before he enlisted.
He volunteered for the Army of the United States in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 13 October 1942.
In September and November 1944 he was wounded by artillery shell fragment in his shoulder.
On 13 December, he was reported lightly wounded by artillery shell fragments, and evacuated to the 35th Evacuation Hospital at that time in the vicinity of St. Avold, France.
On 17 December he was appointed Staff Sergeant in the assembly area in Rohrbach-lès-Bitche, France.
He died of his wounds on 22 December 1944.
