Pfc Glenn V. Doll attended high school for two years and was a maintenance painter, employed by Norwalk Upholstening Company before he enlisted in Toledo, Ohio on 2 July 1942.

He was reported severely wounded in action by a land mine and evacuated to the 305th Medical Clearing Station where he died of his wounds. He was wounded in the thorax, spine and thrunk.
