Capt Carey E. Lyle enlisted at Fort Thomas Newport, Kentucky on 11 January 1942.He graduated from Henry Clay High School and served as secretary-treasurer for the Perry Lumber Company.
He was wounded on 6 January 1945 at the Battle of the Bulge.
