Pfc Paul B. King graduated from State High School. He was employed by the Saniwax Paper Co. before he enlisted in Kalamazoo, Michigan on 23 March 1942. He had been serving overseas since October 1944.Pfc King spent 21 months in the Aleutians on Adak and Umnake Islands. After furlough he reported to Fort Bliss, Texas, for further training before going to France.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand Failly, France.
