More information
Sgt Monroe's twin brother, Cpl Pearl Monroe was serving in the same division. The two were “twin sprinters” during high school days at Moscow. Alike in appearance and dress, they were often confused by the basketball players they managed. He was a student at the University of Idaho when he registered for the draft in February of 1942.
This picture was taken when Sgt Monroe was an ROTC officer at the University of Idaho.
