Pvt Bob Barker attended Tucson High School.His mother died in 1925 and since the 1930's he and his sister lived with their grandparents, Mr. Robert F. Cummings and Mrs. Esther V. (Peterson) Cummings.
He enlisted in Phoenix, Arizona on 23 October 1942, trained at Camp Bowie, Texas and was sent overseas in the spring of 1944.
