More information
Pfc Donald P. Noll was squad leader of an assault platoon which attacked positions along the road leading into Hürtgen, Germany. The area was heavily mined and booby-trapped, and covered with heavy artillery and mortar fire which caused the platoon to withdraw. He was not with the platoon when a check was made later.Source of information: Peter Schouteten, Danny van der Groen – Company’s / 4ID After Action Reports, www.abmc.gov, www.wwiimemorial.com, www.ancestry.com - Headstone and Interment Record, www.findagrave.com – L Evans
