More information

Pfc Donald P. Noll was squad leader of an assault platoon which attacked positions along the road leading into Hürtgen, Germany. The area was heavily mined and booby-trapped, and covered with heavy artillery and mortar fire which caused the platoon to withdraw. He was not with the platoon when a check was made later.
