More information

2nd Lt Solon R. Briskin joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in San Antonio, Texas on 20 March 1943.

The mission took place on 23 March 1945.

Surviving crew members presume that he was killed or injured when they were hit by anti-aircraft artillery.

There are no records about what happened to him, and his remains were never recovered. According to standard regulations at that time, his status was changed to 'Finding of Death' on 24 March 1946, a year and one day after he was reported missing in action.

Six crew members were killed, three survived and were taken prisoner.
