S/Sgt Phillip N. Barker graduated from Mankato High School in 1937 and worked as a shipping clerkHe enlisted in Mankato, Blue Moon County, Minnesota on 6 January 1941.
Ship 620 was hit by small arms fire at 300 ft and caught fire. It crashed southeast of Wesel, and no chutes were observed.
