More information

S/Sgt Harry Stewart volunteered for the US Army in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 27 October 1942.
T/Sgt Ralph L. Wiley:
On 24 May 1944 while participating on a mission to Wiener-Neustadt, Austria, our group was attacked by enemy fighters. I was flying as tail gunner in ship #345 in the left element of the second attack unit. Lieutenant Griffin’s aircraft was in the same element. Soon after the attack by enemy fighters, I saw lieutenant Griffin’s aircraft fall into a spin. I did’t see any one bail out. I saw the ship last at 15,000 feet. The time was about 1020 and the coordinates were 47.45 N – 15.13 E.
He was first buried at Block HH, Row 3, Grave 67.
