2nd Lt Michael Krivonak graduated from Shade Township High School in 1940.

He joined the U.S. Army Reserve in Miami Beach, Florida on 20 February 1943. He was employed at Vought Sikorsky Aircraft.

A/C 007 bomb bay on fire plane was shot down by enemy aircraft. Lt Krivonak was one of 4 crewmen who bailed out when their B24 was shot down over Germany on Nov 26, 1944. His fellow crew member, Sgt Kenneth Peiffer reported that Lt Krivonak along with two other crew members was killed by civilians before the German Luftwaffe could reach them.

His brother, Sgt John Krivonak, was killed in action at the Mariana Islands on 10 February 1945. He is buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.

The pictures were taken in high school in 1939 and 1940.
