S/Sgt Francis S. Meyers was employed with the R. J. Crouthamel hauling firm, Norristown.He enlisted on 26 April 1943 and was sent overseas on 5 June 1944.
The airplane blew up in midair after being hit by flak. Two members were thrown clear and parachuted safely, but the others were killed in action.
