1st Lt Walter A. Fletcher enlisted in Tacoma, Washington on 29 August 1942.April 15, 1945 near Rhine river, approaching to Estedt Walter rescued 2 wounded men despite enemy fire. Then he led an assault which annihilated the enemy but was himself killed.
