Pvt Ralph R. Thompson was a very serious person and always had some type of money-making idea. He had just finished high school and was attending college at night when he was drafted. He was 18 years old and only had a weekend pass before he went to Europe. His parents had fourteen children: Ten boys and four girls. Six brothers were in the service during WWII.His brother Robert is buried at Plot H, Row 12, Grave 2. Ralph and Robert were killed within a few weeks of each other.
