Pfc George E. Barrow joined the National Guard in West Chester, Pennsylvania on 17 February 1941. He worked on a farm before he enlisted.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Molenhoek, The Netherlands on 1 October 1944. He was disinterred on 14 June 1948 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 16 June 1948. He was given his final resting place in Margraten on 27 January 1949.
