S/Sgt Robert R. Brewer enlisted at Fort McClellan, Alabama on 14 October 1942.

The U.S. National Archives World War II Prisoners of War Data File (12/7/1941-11/19/1946) confirms that S/Sgt Brewer was taken prisoner on 11 June 1944. That same file states that he died as a POW in Stalag 3C in Alt Drewitz Brandenburg, Prussia 52-14.
