1st Lt Ivan J. Miklich attended Collinwood High School and graduated from State High School. He attended Bowling Green University for two years.

He enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 23 September 1941.

He was assigned to the 100th Infantry Divsion but was one of many junior officers who were transferred to other divisions as part of the D-Day build-up.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Solers, France.

Lt Miklich is buried next to his brother, Louis F. Miklich
