T/Sgt Henry T. Peirce was placed in the Masonic Institution for Boys with his brother after his father was murdered in 1920. He graduated in 1929 from the Thomas Ranken Patton Masonic Institution for Boys in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania where he majored in carpentry. Several years later, he sang tenor in the Old Fort Glee Club.
He was employed by Fletcher Works before he enlisted in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 16 October 1943.

The wedding photo shows his brother Louis in the middle, who is the groom. First on the right is his brother Frank en 2nd on the right Albert. Henry is third from the left. His brother Richard is not on the picture. He was serving with the Army Air Corps at that time and couldn't attend the wedding.
