Sgt Warren H. Muck graduated from Tonawanda High School. and was a clerk.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States in Buffalo, New York on 17 August 1942.

He and his comrade Alex Penkala were killed by German artillery fire on the outskirts of the Belgian town of Foy. They were taking cover in a foxhole from the artillery when a direct hit landed on them.

He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Grand Failly, France.

He is remembered on a monument at the Bois Jacques in Bastogne, Belgium.
