2nd Lt Charles J. Bickley graduated from Wise High School in 1931 and attended Emory and Henry College for two years. He held a position with the Holston Ordnance Works at Kingsport.He enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 6 December 1942 and sent overseas on 13 July 1944.
