Pvt Arthur L. Webb attended high school for one year and he was a delivery boy before he enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 8 March 1944.

He was killed by small arms fire and artillery shell fragments in his leg.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
