Capt Wilbur G. Cox attended college and was a salesman before he enlisted in Chicago, Illinois on 24 April 1941.The airplane was hit by enemy aircraft. It was seen in flames and descending in the target area.
One crew member survived and was taken prisoner, six men were killed.
