1st Lt Clayton S. Abraham graduated from Franklin High School and worked at the Boeing #2 plant before he joined the Army in Portland, Oregon on 2 May 1942.The formation attacked by 50 to 75 enemy aircraft attacking in waves of 10 to 15 aircraft. This B-26 was hit in the rear and the crew was unable to control the aircraft.
It was last seen dropping behind the formation with both engines smoking, gear down and into a spin before it crashed.
