T/Sgt William J. Coe graduated from Collegiate School in New York City and attended Franklin and Marshall College.He enlisted in the Army in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 20 February 1943. He was sent overseas in May 1944
He was killed in a jeep accident on the airfield at Roye-Amy (Oise-Somme)
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Solers, France.
