2nd Lt James M. Harrison graduated from Laurel Miss High School.Capt W. M. Bryan:
Capt Novothny was flying group lead in A/C No. 989. Our position was his deputy lead. His ship was hit by flak over the target and swung off to the left with the bomb-bay doors opened. I saw four men jump from the escape hatch in the waist, one from the rear of the bomb-bay, one from the forward bomb-bay and one of the top escape hatch. I observed no chutes opening but my gunners observed three. The ship was seen to explode off to our rear.
1st Lt Mark Mushrush:
He bailed out right after bombs away. He died by German civilians.
