Pvt Braden G. Boyd Jr. was a driver before he enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 2 October 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his trunk that damaged his colon and spine.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
