Pfc Wilbur J. Barron was a semi-skilled asbestos and insulation worker before he enlisted at Fort Jay Governors Island, New York on 8 April 1942.According to Joseph C. Solarz, his tank commander, Pfc Barron was killed when the tank got hit the first time.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
