S/Sgt Joseph W. Beardsley joined the Regular Army at Fort Snelling, Minnesota on 17 October 1939.His brother Pfc Theodore A. Beardsley has been buried next to him.
He was first buried at Margraten on 8 March 1945 and disinterred on 6 July 1948 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 7 July 1948. He was given his final resting place on 22 December 1948.
