Pvt George T. Peers Jr. graduated from Shaw High School in January 1940 and attended Ohio Wesleyan College.He joined the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort Hayes, Ohio on 8 October 1942. He was selected for the Army Specialized Training Program (A.S.T.P.) and studied at the University of Nebraska. He was sent overseas in September 1944.
Pvt Peers is remembered at the Pinecrest Cemetery in Lake Worth, Palm Beach County, Florida.
