T/4 Joseph A. Callea enlisted in Buffalo, New York on 30 March 1943.

He was wounded on 24 March 1945 in Germany and died of his wounds five days later. He had been overseas since April 1944 and saw action in Luxembourg, Holland, France and Germany.
