More information

S/Sgt Paul Hendrix enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 12 August 1943.

Statement from 2nd Lt Robert P. Mitchell:
"On 25 April 1945, I was flying in the same flight as A/C #448776 which was piloted by Lt. Stresky. While the formation was over Linz, Austria, and just before bombs away a burst of flak struck his ship in the bomb bays. Immediately the plane went into a steep dive and began to flame. It was apparently out of control, as it crashed into the ground and exploded. Two parachutes opened. The time was 1247."
