S/Sgt Howard E. Walker was employed at A. L. Fisher-Consolidated Textile Company.He enlisted in Roanoke, Virginia on 18 July 1942.
The airplane was attacked by a Fw 190, which caused fire in #2 engine.
Four crew members were taken prisoner, three men evaded capture and three men were killed.
