At high school, Warren Brown was a member of the football, basketball and track teams. He was employed by the Moore-Lowry mill.He enlisted on 28 August 1942 and was sent overseas in June 1943.
The airplane was attacked by German fighters. It was seen burning before it blew up.
Three crew members were taken prisoner, seven men were killed.
