A/C 42-3317 was seen leaving the formation about 15 minutes before the target. The aircraft crashed in Haelen, the Netherlands.Five crew members escaped, and four were made POWs.
Lt Lohmann landed on the river Maas. His body was not recovered until 21 July 1944.
