Frank S. Millen attended Watkins Glen High School. Early in 1941, while a junior at Norwich University, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force.

The airplane was damaged by flak and attacked by a German night fighter, flown by Lt Werner Rapp of 7./NJG1.

One one crew member survived.
