2nd Lt Cebert G. Walter graduated from Mooreland High School in 1935 and attended the University of Indiana.He he was a chauffeur before he enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 10 March 1941 and was commissioned on 25 November 1942 at Luke Field, Arizona.
He was sent overseas in April 1943.
