2nd Lt John H. Harris was a cigarette machine operator for the American Tobacco Company.He enlisted in August1942, was commissioned in August 1943 and was sent overseas in February 1944.
The airplane was shot down by enemy fighters. The entire crew of ten was killed.
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced that 2nd Lt John H. Harris was accounted for on 20 June 2024. Additional information will follow (information added August 2024).
