S/Sgt Daniel B. Lempka attended Red Hook High School.He enlisted in New York City, New York, on 10 November 1942.
Aircraft was shot down by flak. S/Sgt Lempka and pilot Frank Hoffman were KIA, the remaining eight crew members bailed out and ended up POW.
