Leo Van Erdewijk graduated from St. Bernard High School in 1934.He he joined the Regular Army on 31 July 1939.
He was to Margie Biggers on 29 May 1943.
One picture shows Leo Van Erdewyk getting ready for a leap of a plane.
1st Sgt Van Erdewyk was listed as missing in action until his body was recovered in May of 1966.
He is also commemorated on the Walls of the Missing at Margraten Cemetery, The Netherlands.
