Pvt Donald H. Mc Crea attended Western High School in Washington, D.C.He enlisted in Fort George G. Meade, Maryland on 17 March 1944.
He was first buried in a shallow grave at a civil cemetery in Bastogne on 23 December 1944. He was later reburied at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
