S/Sgt John R. Moorfoot immigrated on 2 February 1926.
He attended high school for one year and was a printer before he enlisted at Fort Jay, Governors Island new York on 30 June 1942.

On 9 January 1943 he was naturalized in Georgia.

He was killed by a bullet to the head.
