Cpl Paul M. Westhafer was a brakeman with the railroad company.

He enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 6 February 1942.

He was married to Grace Sellers on 10 March 1944.

Six of his brothers also served in the Army and U.S. Navy.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
