Pvt Thomas B. Jones Jr. attended LaSalle High School and was a former employee of the Celanese Company. He entered the service on 4 April 1942 at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. He trained at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and in California before going overseas.He was a cannoneer of tank #12 when it was hit by an anti-tank weapon and immediately burst into flames.
