Pvt Raymond C. Nowak enlisted in Toledo, Ohio on 13 October 1942 and was married to Mary Ann Bennet on 9 February 1943.

He was taken prisoner on 18 December 1944 and died in a German prison camp.

His middle name is Charles but the ABMC has him listed with a middle name starting with the letter S.
